bittersweet
Exactly 2 months left before I am able to say that I completed a year in South America. I am getting really excited for my next turn of events in life. Seems I´m always a few months ahead. I found myself exuding lots of energy when talking to Negro about my upcoming plans in Minnesota... and then realized that I would be leaving him behind. We´ve been caught up in each others lives since I arrived to Buenos Aires in mid November. It´s down to the last few weeks here.... mommy, can I keep him? ... and not his mommy- wow is she ever weird. Psychiatrists. I think they probably create more problems than what they´re worth. Certainly she knows him well enough to get into his head, but its harder to break my shell. She´s tried a few times, but I have done a pretty good job at pretending that I don´t understand a word that comes from her mouth. This week she decided to make a surprise visit because she needed some papers here...... HUH?!?!?!?!?!!!! I guess that means that my guest that I have been expecting for months will be staying...?...on the floor? It could be that Negro forgot her birthday a couple weeks ago and... well, this Wednesday is International Women´s Day-- I´m no psychaiatrist, but I see some ulterior motives for the "surprise" visit being this week. aaaaarrrgh... the next mother I want to see is MINE!

hey, ang!
just caught up on your blog. you found a new interest in chess too? hahaha i hadn't played in over a decade. can't believe you will be here in less than 2 months! Can't wait to get together with you when you're back and compare notes. Sounds like we've had some similar experiences.
