this is Gustavo. He is 9. He speaks Guarani and Spanish. He sells caramels and candies to people on the street in Asuncion. The sale usually takes place during or after a meal. We saw him twice at the same restaraunt, and decided he should probably join us. His mother watched from across the street as her son choose mashed potatoes off the menu.

a herd?

Negro and cousins, Paula 14, and Julieta. We went out for drinks after dinner one night. As we sipped drinks and the night air- Paula was right there with us, chewing bubble gum at 1 and 2am. I´m telling you, they are trained much earlier than 14 to stay up all hours.
